The Mosque Design Competition explores a contemporary approach to religious architecture within the physical and cultural context of Southeastern Anatolia. The project draws inspiration from traditional Anatolian-Islamic architecture while establishing a clear relationship between the building, landscape, and surrounding environment. The design integrates open, semi-open, and enclosed spaces to support different activities and patterns of use. These spaces create a gradual transition between the public realm and the main prayer area. The architectural layout encourages movement, interaction, and moments of gathering while maintaining the mosque's primary religious function. The project interprets traditional architectural elements through a contemporary design language. Its spatial organization responds to the regional context and emphasizes the connection between indoor and outdoor environments. Through this approach, the Mosque Design Competition brings together cultural heritage, contemporary architecture, and landscape design. The proposal aims to create a functional and welcoming place of worship that reflects the architectural identity of Southeastern Anatolia.
