Tactical Urbanism forms the basis of Visible Collective, an urban design proposal for Altıyol Park, located at the intersection of six roads in the heart of Kadıköy, Istanbul. Surrounded by the constant movement of the city, this small green pocket remains a quiet space where traces of its past and collective memory have gradually faded.
A young street guitarist, someone embracing a stray cat, or the excitement of a football supporter may appear as separate moments, yet together they shape the identity of Kadıköy. Visible Collective brings these individual experiences together through community participation, recycling, and digital interaction.
Through a tactical urbanism approach, the project reactivates the park as a shared public stage where everyday activities and collective experiences become part of the urban environment. The design explores how small-scale interventions can strengthen social connections and create new opportunities for interaction.
Beyond Altıyol Park, Visible Collective proposes an adaptable urban strategy that can transform forgotten and underused public spaces into active, inclusive environments while preserving their relationship with the surrounding city.
